Highlighting our ongoing efforts to improve our environmental, social, and governance performance and transparency

Dorian LPG is a liquefied petroleum gas shipping company and a leading owner and operator of modern very large gas carriers (“VLGCs”). Our founding executives have managed vessels in the LPG shipping market since 2002.
Our fleet currently consists of modern VLGCs, mostly owned with some long term chartered in vessels. All our newbuilding VLGCs are dual fuel and can run on LPG. More details on our fleet can be found here.

Sustainability Strategy

Our Responsibility

Our mission statement begins with safety for a reason. We believe that the safety of our crew is paramount to our mission followed by the safe transportation of our product. From the Board Level down, Safety is a primary focus for all Dorian employees and continues to guide our operational approach to business.

Pathway to Decarbonization

On the decarbonization front: We are implementing energy saving initiatives, with excellent ship shore cooperation, and making measurable headway with operations based decarbonization measures while constantly evaluating retrofit opportunities and new technologies for fuel optimization.

Operating a Sustainable Business

LPG is a transition fuel with many benefits to the world. At Dorian we believe that LPG transportation should be done with the environment in mind.

Ecological and Economical

Reducing fuel consumption and the subsequent emissions of each ship has allowed us to reduce our voyage expenses and benefited not only the environment but our shareholders as well. We are strong believers that strategically placed investments in operational improvements, retrofits and ultimately, carbon neutral fuels will allow Dorian to achieve superior earnings and stay ahead of the pack when it comes to meeting regulatory and customer expectations to decarbonize.
