About Dorian LPG

Dorian LPG is a liquefied petroleum gas shipping company and a leading owner and operator of modern very large gas carriers (“VLGCs”). Our founding executives have managed vessels in the LPG shipping market since 2002.

Our fleet currently consists of 25 modern VLGCs. The twenty-five VLGCs in our fleet have an aggregate carrying capacity of approximately 2.1 million cbm and an average age, excluding 4 chartered-in VLGCs, of 8 years. More details on our fleet can be found here.

We provide in-house commercial and technical management services for all of the vessels in our fleet, including our vessels deployed in the Helios Pool. Our mission is to arrange safe, reliable, clean and trouble free transportation, and we are committed to the highest quality of customer service.

HELIOS POOL

Our spot ships are commercially managed through the Helios Pool which we founded and jointly own with Phoenix Tankers, a subsidiary of (Mitsui OSK). The Helios Pool fleet comprises 24 VLGC, including 18 owned by Dorian, four owned by Phoenix Tankers, a subsidiary of Mitsui OSK, and two owned by Oriental Energy, one of the largest PDH plant operators and LPG importers in China. In March 2016, we announced that the Helios Pool entered into a COA with Oriental Energy covering their shipments from the U.S. Gulf and that the Helios Pool will operate eight VLGCs for Oriental Energy. Outside the pool, we have four VLGCs on time charters, three of which have a duration of greater than two-years.

Dorian LPG is a fully integrated LPG shipping company with in-house commercial and technical management services. Our dedicated, independent department for Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality meets the requirements of the most demanding major oil companies and has contributed to our reputation in the industry and our long-standing customer relationships.
